Yea, but the one thing I don't like with the human's 1st quest is that you were captured, to me its like you were "stupid" especially if your picking a Ranger for your "journey." They should've made the human investigating the "brigands." You know what I mean?

Well the idea is that everybody starts as a "n00b" and then develops their character to be "ub3r". Lets face it, anybody would get captured if they get surrounded in the wild

True, but come on Elves and rangers.... lol come on those are the two most well prepared beings.

The Dunedain and Elves, now they were teh best prepared. But in game, you're just a normal ranger. And even though they are skilled woodsmen it's still possible for them to get outnumbered or tricked.

True but it still troubles me, I guess you can put it like this
Your a son of a Jedi master, but your skills aren't that adapt for the environment your in, so you are able to be caught off guard. Until your skills are enhanced.
Sorry for that analogy but it's the only one that popped into my mind in two minutes.

*thinks Eli should hide in the secretly spoken of Admin board, keeps on wondering and wonders if there is a way she can find out what is on that board ^_^*
Anyway, even though I've said nothing till now, I find it intresting what they are doing and REALLY want to know what they are going to do for Elves, though i do wonder how all of us noob players are going to get together to form the CoP in-game?

Well I suppose it'll start off with us all meeting together within our races. All the Dwarves meet up, all the men meet up, all the elves meet up etc. Then we travel to our meeting point...where ever that is * Runs to Hidden Board s *

Yes true, but how we all be on the same server? ?

Post by Elindir on Jun 26, 2005 0:12:15 GMT
Well I guess we're all going to try and use a conveinient central server. Probably something on the east coast of America. With BroadBand, the lag shouldn't be too bad.

What do you mean lag??!! (I know what lag is lag=staggering/slowness/stopping in the middle of battle mostly) I really hope theres no lagging unless if its during camping, you know what I mean, well I'll be back online in 13 hrs. (its 9pm here, good night.) But I'd hate lag when fighting is going on especially.

All MMORPGs have some form of lag invloved. Think about it, you're connecting to players all around the world. But with better technology comes less lag, making it less important to get a local server. In the past, connecting to an american server would make the game run at a snails pace meaning you'd have to use a european server, however noadays that's no longer true *I'm not making this up...Honest *

Yes I understand but I remember playing this one mmorpg (it was a friend's) and there was constant lag. It is fairly new, like 9 mo. old.

Eli's right, there WILL be lag. If there's not, somebody should be making a ton of money because they've just discovered a new technology. I think an east coast server would be the best to include those not in the USA *cough cough* Man, the more I play World of Warcraft the more I can't wait for LoTRo. I've found myself several times running through a dungeon with a party and thinking: man, this would be so much more fun if I actually knew these people like the kinship guys. And I think that that's what will make the game especially fun for me, compared to other games I've played: the companionship. If we really get to know each other out of game, things will be so much more fun once game-time rolls around. This includes getting to know each others voices!!!!! I've noticed that its very important when on TeamSpeak (my guild uses it for WoW) to know who is talking, and the quickest way to do that is to know people by their voices. I'm a big fan of TS too, can you tell?

Teamspeak..... teamspeak.....teamspeak..... oh yes, now I remember, I used to go on that quite a lot but no-one else ever seemed to be there so I kind of gave up, especially as I've put my headset to one side whilst moving *thinks about doing some more putting away*
We'll have to get that up and going again sometime, though at the moment I shouldn't be too hard to recognise, after all we do have only two girls in the kinship and the other girl isn't very active.

Heh, I know It's just a bit hard to run constantly from my own computer, and I always forgot to sign on myself... But speaking of the second girl, has anyone heard from her since her acceptance?
