This is wonderful… Abram commented as he washed down all the dirt and grime resting on his toned body. He was finally getting cleaned after so long of feeling dirty. He needed to wash away more than the dirt though…he needed to wash away the filth of his past and the thoughts filling his head. Thoughts of his wife. Ithilen. Betrayal. Lust. Fear. His mind was livid with emotions of the night before and his dream of death. But Abram needed to focus on the present. Cass. Escape. His whole dealing with the Prince…well, ex-Prince. Abram walked slowly back inside. He had a sense that he was being watched, but he just ignored that and focused on what was ahead.
He walked inside the house and felt an immediate sense of welcome. It was just like he was home… Cass was in the kitchen preparing something or another telling him about breakfast and some rule…he didn’t really remember. Abram just looked at her as she spoke to him. Watching her mouth move. The fluid motion of her lips. The grace and sensuous tone of her voice just enthralled him to no end. He could focus on nothing other than her persona, her figure, and her presence. It all just seemed so natural to him to have Cass around and by him. He wondered if she felt the same about him.
“Yeah…okay.” He said aimlessly. He still couldn’t concentrate on the words she spoke…just her.

Cass noticed Abrams seeming distraction and wondered if he was starting go into shock or something, she had heard that it could happen when you killed people. Cass was worried but for this precise minute she needed to concentrate on the mixtures she was making, they had to be very exact if she didn't want to hurt or damage herself whilst using them in a hurry later. 2/3 of the grey one and 1/4 or the blue then fill the rest with the green, she nodded and wrapped it up, she knew she didn't have time to sort all of these up yet, and hoped that she would be able to find time to finish the mixes on the run.
When finished she packed up the herbs and powders into their waterproof bags and then put them into a waterproof bag that would tie round her waist. She then went over to the breakfast and finished serving it onto two grass plates, they were wonderfully woven so that they wouldn't let anything drip through, Cass thought it a pity to have to burn them after breakfast but needs must. Walking over to the seats again she handed Abram a plate and a mug with a herbal tea in it. Then as she sat down she once again noticed his almost vagueness, was it shock she thought. "Are you alright?" she asked "You seem rather vague this morning" she didn't want him worried or feeling forced to confide but she really did need him fully concentrating, she also found his looking at her like that rather disconcerting.

Cass’ question brought him out of his trance almost right away. Just the sincere tone in her voice helped with that. Abram blinked his eyes a couple times and brought his hands up to his face, trying to shake the sleep out of head and simultaneously fool Cass into thinking he was just tired. He knew that it would not work, as Cass was as sharp as a tack, but it was always worth a try.
“Y-yeah…” he stuttered out, “I am fine, don’t worry.” Abram took a quick sip of his tea. It was delicious. Herbal tea was always a good drink to sooth Abram when he needed to calm down and right now…he really needed to calm a little bit. He was being tracked by at least one man, maybe a group. They were not simply going to ignore the fact that Abram killed the King’s only heir. As an added bonus, they would probably know who it was when they went to ask the best friend of the Prince if he had seen him. Then they would see Abram’s house bloodied, his bow and quiver gone, and his wife slumped over on their bed, blood staining their off-white sheets.
“So what was it you were mixing over there? What herbs were you using?” he had decided to change the subject from him to here. That would be a little better.

Cass listened to Abram's reply knowing he wasn't being entirely truthful, then again Cass was rarely completely truthfull herself it was always usefull to keep something up your sleeve, she did hope that it wasn't anything important he was hiding though, and decided to keep a close eye on him.
She didn't really want to share her recipies with him but knew that she couldn't keep him in the dark eternally. "This is a mixture of flour, ground willow bark, and some crystals I dried from that spiky plant you see there in the corner. When mixed together like this and lit, it explodes and gives those in the area a headache and slight problem with their eyesight which passes in time. It might come in handy" She certainly wasn't going to give away too many of the powders she had been sorting but that one was pretty mild compared to some of the others she had in the pouch.
Cass really didn't want to continue on that topic of conversation any more than Abram had wanted to continue on the one about him seeming vague. Instead Cass chose one that would be more usefull to both of them.
"Once I've burnt these plates and washed the pans, we're going to be heading North to the stream, I want you to walk through leaving plenty of traces, bent branches all that sort of thing, I'm going to go through my getaway route through the trees, I don't want your trackers knwoing of my existance, which is why there will be only one slept pallet left here. When we reach the stream we are going to follow it downstream till another stream joins it, we will then follow the other stream west. Hopefully we can avoid leaving any traces of which way we have gone by doing this, I'm planning on following the streams till we can reach one of the roads that cross it, then pretending we are ordinary travellers till I can get some news and information and work out how we can clear your name, though at some point you are going to have to tell me everything that happened in regards to you killing that Prince." Cass didn't want to push him too hard on this difficult subject but she knew that she was going to have to know what happened before she started the difficult task of clearing his name. She also knew that it was very likely to be difficult, with guys chasing them and trying to clear his name, thsi ought to be a great adventure.

They were lost.
There was no denying it. Two days had past since they found what looked like a deserted cottage with tracks leading North-wards. These had been easy to follow like most of Abrams other tracks; they could tell he was not familiar with traveling through forests. But then again, it seemed like few men of the town were familiar with woodland. Already the majority of the party had given up hopes and headed back home south-wards, convinced the murderer had escaped.
In one way this was good, even with what they had salvaged from the cottage their supplies were pitiful; this way they should be able to last a little longer so long as they kept fishing from the stream while resting and foraging while following the stream.
But by now there were just four of them in the party. Two surly men, broad shouldered and very strong. Then another, taller, quieter man. The majority of the time they traveled in silence, speaking only when they needed to. It was a sombre feeling as they followed the stream, seeing practically no existence of their prey except the odd footprint or snapped twig. Dirgrin grew suspicious of how Abram seemed to gain knowledge of how to avoid being detected almost overnight.
