Though we have had a hero of CoP "leave" and resign his Heir position. We have had another hero step up and show honor, her name is Tin.
Congratulations Tin, May your reign be a great one.

I'm the heir O.O
When was the vote?
Last time I checked we decided I couldn't be heir due to the fact I'm in the same timezone as Eli.
Oh well now I've said that, I'll say "thank you, I'm honored to have my name put foward for being the kinships heir"

I think timezone shouldn't be a factor about rank, lol. I don't think we need a vote, when the pre-heir elects another one.

The whole idea of the heir was originally to be someone in charge of the other timezone. So while I'd play mostly with the european members, the heir would be there to keep an eye on the Americans. Personnaly, I think it should be put back to the vote like it was originally even though I have a feeling I know who will win....

Yeah, personally I think it ought to be voted on, though unfortuently it might take a while for the voting as we have a number of members who only visit infrequently and we ought to have at least most of the kinship vote.

Wow that's sweet Congratulations Tin I think Tin would make a great heir A clan needs both a leader and a co-leader to have a high activity level in the game to meet both the "day walker" and the "nightcrawler" or you will have a clan that feels more like a loose coalition of players than a solidly lead infastructure. No matter what the timezone. So when you lead a clan...make sure you're going to be active or everyone will end up suffering. In the Raj Artair of Everquest 2 our appointed leader up and left us to join another clan. So the beginning leader almost dissolved the Raj Artair but came back to pledge that the clan would remain for all Norrathian Time. So we chose another appointed leader and are beginning anew. Things will never be the same though...and the hearthache I feel since she's gone still continues ever onward..I will probably leave that game since my time with her is less and less of late... So that's another thing...make sure you show your love for the members of your clan and make them feel like you depend on them. Group with them. Talk with them. They will feel inclined to take a more active role in things and will help shoulder the burden of your task. That will ultimately win over any policy or stucture more than anything.

I have to agree that an active leader is better. I also have to admit that I now run a linkshell group in Final Fantasy for Europian players. I have to spend some time running events and planning fun things but a large group of us have become great friends and they help me out by running events and helping organise things when I'm busy. I still need to get to know some of the newer members though, haven't had too much spare time of late. Knowing the people is certainly important as those I don't know as well I don't know how they will react to certain things, others Iknow how they will react as we know each other and we can have a laugh and do things together and play to each others strengths. It certainly helps.
Personally I still wonder about the timezone issue as though I plan to split my time between FFXI and LotRO so should be on a fair bit as I am fairly good at finding free time. I just wonder what is going to happen in the means of Eli and I getting to know too many of you Americans very well and being able to organise and talk too much as mostly your playing time is about the time most europians start heading to bed. It makes me wonder whether we'll end up staying late and you coming early so we can talk. The idea was to have a leader in both parts so there was always someone to talk to fairly easily in a timezone near your own.

I have to admit I often am playing FFXI till 2am >.< 4 hours sleep really ought to do something about that. But I miss my american friends and want to stay up to play with them. Oh well as I'll be playing both FFXI and LotRO maybe I'll be earlier in one game and later in the other more, or maybe I'll just play one one day and the other the next. I guess I'll just have to wait and find out. I wonder if LotRO is going to be as or more adiciting than FFXI? I guess I've got to wait to find out, lol ^_^
