I'm not sure whether to be a Sage or a Hunter. I'm leaning towards Sage, I don't think there are any in the kinship. What do guys think about it? And does anyone know about the sorcery they can do, I know you can't lob fireballs and stuff (of this I am glad, I'd like it to stick to the books) but I just wondered. I have to admit I don't know much about 'magic' in the Tolkien world.

Sorry Uorion, I was going to respond earlier but remembered I had to help Ishboo Anyway, so far you are the only person who has said they're considering being a sage. From what I've read, sages most powerful ability would be their herb law which can heal players. Other than that, there hasn't been much info on them

Ack sorry for the late response Uorion.
In every MMORPG I've been in, I've seen nothing but DDs (Damage Dealers and they dish out the damage for the group) floating around the game worlds. Less want to become tanks (take hits for the group and I think my dwarf will be a tank from the description of the class) and even less want to play the role of someone who heals.
I don't know how to convince you to decide, for that will ultimately be your decision, but maybe the fact that you'll probably be playing a role others won't be playing as much will be a factor in your choice.

I'm glad you said that Hawkeye, it has helped me to decide, and I think I'm going to be a sage.
Thanks for the help everyone.

Become a hunter, as I will be, and soon you will become a Ranger, with the strength of men, and speed/smarts of an elf. For you will be one with nature.
In most games(guild wars and WOW=world of warcraft) These are the comparisons(of more important skills.
Sage Hunter Magic attack-Deadly - No magic Magic Healing/Healing others Perfect -Ability to heal others(making medicine) Melee horrible-average -Melee Great-Deadly Stealth/Camoflouge-low -Stealth-Great-Perfect Ranged combat(not including magic)-low -Ranged combat-Great-Deadly Armor Low -Armor low-medium
---Heres a scale of Horible-deadly *Horrible *low *average *medium *Great *excellent *Deadly *perfect
******plus i did this on a scale on bases of how the two games did there attack strength like ... 1-10 would be horrible 11-30 low.. ect ect.... that type.
Oh but in most mmorpg's Sages on the same level as a hunter has almost double there health(but they have hiorrible armor. dont forget that.) Now this is all my calculations, all true, im not tryiong to sway your decision, just trying you to make sure you have all your options open. Those who are being a sage, dont take personal, but I would pick a ranger over a sage almost in any fight. Becuase alot of people who becfome a sage, get power hungry, and think they can take on anyone. And lets just say in WOW/Guild wars, ive been chalanged by them(sometimes two at a time) and they didtn walk away from the field the victor, and we were both at level 60..the highest you can get in wow, but in guild wars 48.)
