I don't know if any of you have tried World of Warcraft yet but I have to say I have the most fun in that game I have ever had in a MMORPG with only AC2 and Everquest 2 being the others I have tried.
This game is more solo friendly I have to say out of what I have tried so far. It even says there will always be something waiting for the solo gamer! Of course there will always be quests that require grouping but still it's a nice step to me in the genre. Plus the humor and the well written quests are fascinating to me.
I don't intend for World of Warcraft to replace my true love which will be MEO but tis a truly fascinating game to play while I wait for MEO.

I shall be joining the WoW community as soon as I get my copy, whenever that happens I will be playing on the Gorefiend server, though, since I know many people who are currently on that server.

Except there isn't a store within 50 miles of here that currently has a copy of WoW I will check back with EB Games Tuesday, as they said they may receive a shipment by then. Until then, I'm trying to satisfy myself by reading up as much as possible on the game. I'm thinkin about playing as a Human Paladin. Even though there are a lot of them (so I hear), I think it is the best class for my playing style.

Yep definitely alot of people playing that class flying around so to speak. They like to drag MOBs into people too and gank people whenever the oppurtunity comes.
I understand why people play the Alliance more. The Horde has been given the shaft so to speak. The Alliance can buy books for the higher level of profession skills right in Ironforge aka dwarf territory.
Us Horde folks have to go right into level 30's MOBs to get to ours....yep we got the shaft allright in this game. I'm still dedicated to playing them though.
I'm an undead warrior though and my brother is an undead warlock. My alt is going to be an orc Shaman and his alt is going to be an Orc Hunter. It's pretty cool.
I do Blacksmithing as well as mining and he does Tailoring and Skinning.
I'm going to do Alchemy and Herbalism on my alt and he's going to do Engineering on his.
If we keep it up we'll have our own guild stucture without the human interaction of others.....*Hawk starts laughing* We want to join a guild when we level up our mains more. We're just 28 right now.
Edit: Nice pic of the Final Fantasy character Tal. Good memories in that game for me.

I found a copy of WoW  After an hour or two of getting it set up, I finally got playing. It reminds me of FFXI, just with some things fixed that FFXI lacked. But I'm not even in Stormwind yet so I shouldn't say much. So far its a great game though. Seems to connect a Diablo playing style with an MMO, then throwing D&D information into the mix. I can't wait until my first raid ;D Human Paladin, a whopping level 6

I have yet to play Final Fantasy XI and I probably won't either. Heard you have to group more in that game. My fond memories of the Final Fantasy games are those of the NES, Super NES, Playstation, and Playstation 2. The NES and Super NES are the days I love to cherish and look back on as much as I can.
Yep it's hard to find a copy to buy...wow! I've never seen that before for a computer game!
Every game role playing system pretty much owes itself to D&D so I'm not surprise to see a lot of concepts of the D&D system in the game. Of course D&D owes itself to Tolkiens universe though. Without the influence, the game system of D&D might not have been created in the first place.

Eh I'm not a graphics buff, I'd rather have good gameplay than graphics. Heck, a good game with Runescape's graphics would still be a good game to me.
Can anyone say text-based adventures?

A cookie.
Just kidding. I ate the cookie. You get the crumbs. And the milk. I'm not the biggest fan of that.
PC graphics should be the best, since consoles are really only mini-PC's.

Anyone else still playing WOW, just saying I'm not, graphics are far to "cartoony" now. (Trust me play it for 5 hrs straight, then stop for 1 week, then play it, you will laugh at it.)

I don't think graphics make the game. Right now I'm playing a mmorpg called Dofus. Its cartoon-style, 2D, Microsoft Flash animation.
Its very addicting, and fun when you can play with a solid group of friends.

I've deleted my level 40ish toons on the Bronzebeard server, cancelled my account, started anew with the alliance on Shadowsong, deleted that toon yet again, started a dwarven paladin again, who is level 17, and have once again cancelled my account.
Seems the only game for me that has staying power so far is Everquest 2. My Dwarven Paladin, Baruk Nala Officer of the Raj Artair, is currently level 50 on the Mistmoore server.
That game is now turning me off with the combat revamp on there (seems Sony likes the term "revamp" alot lately) as well as other things going on in there which I let partially slip out on the heir topic.
Well I'll take up crafting in there till LOTR comes out and keep visiting here in the meantime...

Well I have no idea why but while I've been bouncing back and forth between I've taken this game up again. Well I recently resubscribed and will play my 42 human warrior again on the Malfurion server.
My main's name is Lerato. (The name means Song of my Soul; Least that's what it says on Babynames.com) Heh funny how I have an alt named Fordon (means Destruction) Fitting name don't you think?
Anyway if anyway of you are playing that game on that server. Feel free to send me a tell. Since I keep to myself more and more often it might be the only way to contact me. Apologies on that sad truth.

Ding! Well hit lvl 51...never got that high before in this game...nice to have a more close up view of the Dark Portal.
Always been a fantasy of mine to see what the orcs came out of in the first human/orchish war.
