Sorry, for some reason I am not able to send PM's at the moment. Eli, can you check and see if you can determine what the problem is?
Anyway, Aduruth, here is my reply to your message:
About me: I just moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and will be starting law school at the University of Tulsa in August. I am 25 years old, married, have one daughter, and another daughter on the way (wife is due in October). My time on-line varies; it all depends on when I have a chance to sit down at the computer for a bit as my life is quite busy at the moment.
As for PM's, I believe they are sent immediately, but unless the person to whom you are sending them is on the forum webpage, they will not get them. I'm not sure the exact times that Elindir is on, but I've never had to wait more than a day to get a hold of him.
Just a friendly word of advice, we are all pretty much sticklers for good grammar and spelling. We don't expect perfection because none of us are perfect (except maybe Hxlgg, but he's in France right now). All we ask is that you try your best to use proper punctuation and spelling. It's a sign of maturity, intelligence, and pride in one's own thoughts and ideas. As a philosophy professor of mine once said, "What goes on the page reflects what goes on in the mind."

Actually, nothing happens. When I click to send a message or to preview it, the screen doesn't change at all - I don't even think it reloads the screen I was on. It just stays on the screen where I typed the message.

Wow! thank you, I think im fairly good, at, well you know.....(can I subsitute you=u, I=i, or does that stuff bother anyone here?)
And as many great leader of nation's, before our time, has said
"It's how you speak, that can make or break any chances of success." That goes especially for online, becuase obvouisly its diffucult to tell, if people are joking, or being sarcastic,(becuase your typing.) That parts directed to the youngens.......the kids under 13, if there are any.......Just kidding. Hope to meet you all(online I mean.) As a full fledged member of the Circle of Peace.

The age limit is for those over 13 (Due to the online child privacy act). But as Elf said, we are picky on all bits of grammar. Including full stops, capital letters "you" "are" "I" etc. Elf, I will definately look into this for you

With all do respect, I will try to do my best on remembering that, but keep this in mind, I'm not going to be perfect, and most likely will end up doing this alot.-----> i, I'm, ur, u, etc. And if anyone does not like that basically, tuff, lol. If you can read it, it's legible, And if you anyone has a problem with that be a"man" and say it to me, not to the leader.(When i used the term"man" it's for universal use, "like be a man" because many people are often used to hearing that expression) But I will promise this one thing I am going to be straight forward with anyone here(not beating around the bush, or sugar coating the subject) and I will pm them before I would announce something that would prove to be hurtful. And I will always be honest, so what you all learned about me(prolly the 2 most major things is that) I get to the point quickly, and you don't have to worry about me lying, at all times. if, and I said if you (everyone) accepts me you know the two of the most important things every member in any clan should have. That I have.

To be quite honest, Aduruth, it bugs the heck out of me when it's something that's done on a regular basis. I could care less about spelling and grammar when we chat on AIM or whatever, but in a forum setting I think it's important. Why? Because it's a reflection of how much thoughtfulness you have put into the post. It's difficult enough to get to know people over the internet, but I will tell you that the amount of initial respect I have for a person on an online forum such as this has a lot to do with the care they take in posting.
Are there times when it's okay? Certainly. Of course, there are moments when you just need to make a quick post or we are posting in such a manner that it's more like being in a chat room. In those instances I don't think anyone really cares if your prose is grammatical or not. But most of the time, it behooves all of us to type our posts as well as we can.
I appreciate your honesty and candor. Please know that I am the same way - I don't lie and I generally try to tell it like it is. But out of respect for the Kinship and for yourself, I would ask that you make a genuine effort to write clean, clear, and cogent prose. If you will do that, you will be off to a good start as a member of the CoP. : )

Elfdude, what browser are you using? Apparently this is a problem with Netscape users. Can you try it in Internet Explorer or Firefox please
