I know it might be rather soon to think of a history for a day old Kinship, but I just though that I'd start the thread for any who want to either post ideas or continue the discussion from the ol PK forums.

I've just had a read through some of the old posts and would like to just pick up on something Tin posted: I like the idea of this and wouldn't mind if it was implemented in our history. As for any new ideas, well I haven't got any I think that we need to try and get things moving here again. Once we have a rough plan, I can get on with re-writting my history

Yes. Once we have out kinship history implemented, it would be easier for the members to comform their personal history to the kinship's.

Ok, once again I got bored so here's a sujjestion of a history:
Circle Of Peace History?
It was the year 1974 and the Witchking was marching across the lands, killing and destroying all in his path. It was during this time that our founders met and fought together. They were Addraerraent, Calenia, Lómarandil, Féldur the elves Varan, Aaecian, Owacyn, Rigwyn the men; Driadoc Primstone and Sirry Greenhand the hobbits and the dwarves Rilin and Demli. The Witchkings menace had brought them all from their homes to fight him and hopefully stop him.
During the battles across most of Eraidor these brave dwarves, elves, men and hobbits saved each others lives and helped each other so many times it became one of the most natural things in the world, and gradually even the famous hatred of Elves and Dwarves fell away till this band became friends.
It was toward the end of that year when the enemy had won it’s biggest battle yet and most of the alliance had perished that the friends came across the body of Gwudoc a man for whom they all had great respect. The war was effectively over and most of the members of the alliance were heading home. Our band of friends however looking down at the corpse of their friend realised they could not give up the fight, not whilst there were families and innocents that needed protecting. So taking up their friends broach which he had always worn for luck, they swore on it never to give up whilst they could keep on fighting for peace.
They called themselves the Circle of Peace after the shape of the broach and the cause they were fighting for.
The circle fought on for many many years gaining members and loosing them again to old age and death in battle, but always they continued, the broach being passed down from leader to leader over the years.
In the year 2740 they were following a band of orcs in Eraidor when they were ambushed by 5 times their number and amazingly won after a long and hard battle. After the battle though the Circle was majorly depleted in numbers due to the number who had died. None of the remaining members had any will or wish to continue fighting and reluctantly they bid each other fare well and went back to their home lands to defend them and to grow old in peace.
Now though; the threat from Sauron is rising again and the few living members decide to reform and continue on, fighting for what they care about. There is no longer any safety and all they care about is under threat. The elf that had carried the broach for all those years, approached Elindir with it and the rest of the remaining members, and asked him to help them continue. They approached Elindir after hearing about him and some of his feats in those days.
And so with Elindir leading them the Circle Of Peace was reborn and continued it’s fight against evil.

I like it. It explains why we are fighting and what we are fighting for.

I like it too. I'll have more comments later, but at the moment, I need to go sledding. It is, after all, a requirement on snow days.

I'm back to square one on my character history. I welcome the change though. I want to really think my character history out this time so it may be awhile for my character history. We have alot of time however till the game comes out so I should be allright in that regard.
Very nice history Tin.
Be back later all.

Tin I really like that. Like Uorion said it explains why we're fighting. It could do with a bit of fleshing out, especially the end but once again, your talents astound me

So far the history sounds great Tin. As with what everyone else said, I like how is says what and why we are fighting for, and it could use some "fleshing" out.
Do think though, that eventually, we should try and add some more detail to it. Make it astound the masses and make it detailed enough so we know hoe to create our own histories around it.

^Turned this into a certain off-topic thread that we all know and love... maybe^
Now on-topic, I agree with the rest of you. I'm fine with some history of that nature, as it explains a lot about us.

I'm happy for you to leave it as the bases and flesh it out, my idea was to make a frame we can add our personal histories to, and then our histories will tell as where the Circle was at any set time. I left the end rather vague because I didn't want to write Elindir's joining for him, it means he can change it and let us know how he was approached e.t.c.
If any of you know of things you wish adding to it, I'll be happy to fiddle around with it till we get it so that everyone likes it.

I'm sure you'll all be glad to hear that I'm working on my history. I'm only about halfway through but I want it to be better tha my last one. There's a lot of re-writting going on and re-thinking ideas. I think it's going to end up pretty good with how I end up being the leader
